Book Group Meeting Dates

SEPTEMBER

Wednesday, September 8th at 12:30pm - the Deathly Passions Mystery Discussion Group will meet at the Parkview Annex to discuss With a Vengeance by Eileen Beyer.

Tuesday, September 21st at 6:30pm - the Science Fiction Book Group meets at the Clarendon store to discuss the new collection Is Anybody Out There?, edited by Nick Gevers and Marty Halpern.  Please join us!

Wednesday, October 6th at 5:30pm - Let's Read Romance book group will be meeting at the Clarendon store.  For October's meeting we will discuss a paranormal title we've read. November's read is any American historical title. In December we will read any romance genre Christmas anthology. Our group is already planning authors to read in 2011. If you want some suggestions of authors or titles to read for each month, click here. Everyone is invited. Bring a friend. Join us to share your reviews about romance you've read!

Women's Book Group

The UUCC Women's Book Discussion group meets on the second Friday of the month, September through May, for lunch at Red's Grill (10445 Shaver Road) at 11:30am and continues at the Unitarian Universalist Community Church (10441 Shaver Road) for dessert and discussion.  All are welcome.  Contact Beverly Folz at 327-7586 for more information. 

Special notes:

The Science Fiction/Fantasy Writers Group is meeting twice monthly. Contact John at Kazoo Books if you are interesting in joining.

Book groups that use our facilities are charged a small fee (maximum of $15), which is used to pay utilities (we have kitchens at both stores) and to help fund a rotating list of charities in the greater Kalamazoo area.

Note: "Foodies" cost money and require a reservation.  Call Kazoo Books at 269-553-6506 to reserve a spot. Vegetarian fare is available at all these events.  Foodies make great "date" nights.
