Kazoo Books in the Community

Our Special Events page shows programs and discussions happening in the stores or partnering with Portage District Library, but in the coming months we've also been invited to many different community events.  We'll be at the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre the first two weekends of March during performances of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe."  We'll be at Hillside Middle School on March 11 to sell books when author Jaime Adoff visits and we'll return to the school on the 17th for their book fair.  In April, we're planning to sell books at the Mid-Michigan Romance Writers of America "Retreat from Harsh Reality" in Augusta and we'll be selling copies of Nicolette Hahn Niman's Righteous Porkchop when she speaks at the Radisson.  We hope to see you at one or more of these events!

Recent Change to Our Trade In Policy

Much of our inventory of used books comes from you, our customers.  We give credit for books that we need, in good condition.  Credits can be used at both of our stores.

We are now allowing our customers to use part of their credit for bringing in used books on new books and new book orders.

As always, credit can be used for any used books in the stores, including books we list for sale on the Internet.  Sales tax on these purchases must be paid in cash.  Now, however, you can used your credit for half the cost of a new book.  (We usually discount new book s in the store, or when special ordered, but when using your credit for half the cost, the full retail price will be charged).
